I have lived and worked in Asia for more than 20 years - in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. I have covered life in all of its’ glory across most of Asia at some time and have a strong understanding and empathy with the cultures that underpin the modern fabric of this dynamic region.
I am a former Bureau Chief with AFX News – a Financial Times/Agence France Press joint venture – and bring a deep insight into the workings of the political, industrial, commercial machine that is Asia.
I am a writer, an editor and an educator too. Beyond the bailiwick of reporting on finance and economics, I specialise in writing about entertainment, the arts, music, literature and culture – as the term applies to all of the Asian nations.
Ideally I enjoy online editing work working from my home in Bangkok or upcountry; or freelance editing and feature assignments anywhere in Asia. My grasp of the English lexicon means I am also often gainfully employed as an English teacher at the corporate level and in the face-to-face school environment.
If you need my services as a writer or as an editor or relief teacher please get in touch at any time. I am not expensive and my style of work is evident in my web sites hosted under the umbrella of www.thelittleempire.com, doorway to a labyrinth of sites employing my skills and deeper knowledge of the Internet and Cloud Computing in particular.
I speak Thai, Cantonese, German, French and English.
